Hi, My name is Darlena Cato Lancaster. I'm searching for two families that I stayed with in 1983 as a Lions Club Youth Exchange Student. They are Rob Bullock and Alan Law. The Lions Club is looking for me, but they are no longer members. They each had two sons. I can remember only two of the names. John Law and Richard Bullock. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, my name is Shirley Jones. I'm researching my Family History. It appears that my Great Grandparents were married in Lower Mitton. Their address was "Anchor Inn", Worcester Road Lower Mitton. Would any one have an old picture of this "Inn". Or better still, is there any history of it. I looked over your web page and loved the walk. I was expecting to see a picture of the "Anchor"........but no luck. It must be an old building as my Great Grandparents were married on the 11th of October 1886!. Would appreciate any info........Thanks a lot for your site.

I recently took the Stourport Tour on your website. I walked down High Street, to Mitton, then on to Vale Street. I am very impressed with your site. I was very happy to see the streets of Stourport.

The reason that I am so interested in the pictures is that I am a genealogist and my ancestors resided in Lower Mitton (Stourport) in the 1850s. And since I am living in California, taking your tour was the next best thing to actually being there.

Question: Does anyone have any more pictures, particularly of Mitton Gardens and a close up of St. Michaels and All Angels Church and cemetery?
Several of my ancestors are buried in this cemetery and I was hoping that I might get a look at it. They lived on a place called Gardens (according to the census) and I am assuming that it is Mitton Gardens, just off of Misson Court which is just off Vale. If there are photos of these locations, I should be most grateful if you would send them to me.

Congrats on you tour of Stourport. It was very exciting to see.

I have an old photo, which appears to be pre 1900, of a large group of people in front of the "Red Lion" pub in Holt Heath. In the corner the name "W. D. Pandfield, Shrawley, Stourport" appears, which I assume is the photographer. While I suspect it may be an old family photo, I'm unsure as to which side of my family. It could be connected to the Benn family or more likely the Peverelle family as they lived in Birmingham in the 1800's. Any information relating to the Benn or Peverelle surnames would be appreciated as would information re W.D. Pandfield. Being able to date this photo via the photographers name would be very helpful.

Hi there, surprised to see a site about S-O-S. I was born in Stourport in '71, went to all the schools in the area, Tan Lane, Lickhill Middle and Stourport High, before moving onto Worcester Tech College and finally my old drinking hole Aberystwyth University, spending four years in the lovely Welsh town. I pop back to Stourport now and then, only to see my parents and family who still live in the area. I used to live next to Hartlebury common, and went walking over the common loads of times. Anyway, I'm now working in Portsmouth, moving down South. Tata for now
